Lean Canvas Workshop

The River District Association wants to help you grow your existing business- join us for the Lean Canvas Workshop in Danville on March 7! This day-long session introduces you to the Lean Canvas method, a system for business owners to examine a new business idea or concept and improve its chances for long-term growth, and investigate new ways to increase or improve your customer draw. In eight hours, participants will: Refine & test a business idea or delivery platform Provide additional value to new and/or existing customers Position your business or business idea for sustainable growth Participants will also gain an invaluable business resource through the workshop; through a discussion board platform, participants will be able to communicate with other business owners, mentors, and experts in the field, allowing them to pose their most important business questions to a knowledgeable group of peers. In the end, it's all about business outcomes. The session will be led by Dale Fickett, president and co-founder of RVA Works, a Virginia nonprofit cultivating entrepreneurs and creating credible pathways to business ownership. A mentor to hundreds of entrepreneurs, Dale has lectured on entrepreneurship and innovation with several leading universities including the Wharton School University of Pennsylvania, Trinity College Dublin, Northwestern University, and Virginia Commonwealth University. He Holds an MBA from Villanova University, and a BSBA from LaSalle University. This workshop is presented in partnership with the River District Association and the Department of Housing and Community Development.
