Public Parking

Danville's River District has ample public parking in the form of street parking, and multiple public parking lots.  Download the River District parking map or the River District App, Distrx, for details. 


Virginia Breeze Bus

The Virginia Breeze Bus offers two services out of the Danville Transit Station at 515 Spring Street.  The Capital Connector and Piedmont Express. Both offer daily bus service to and from Washington, D.C. (with other stops along the way).


Amtrak

Riverwalk Trail

Take a walk, stroll, or ride along one of the most beautiful features of our downtown. With over 7.5 miles of paved trail along the Dan River, there is so much to discover. Refer to our map for trailhead locations.


Bike Share

Danville’s Bike Share program allows riders to rent a bike from several locations throughout and around the River District. It’s fast and easy: Simply download and register on the Movatic app on the Google or Apple app stores, find an available bike and ride on!
