Try pottery wheel throwing for a couple or a couple of friends!
Always wanted to try pottery wheel throwing but don’t want to commit to a multi-week class? Here’s your chance! No commitment or expectations. In this very intimate workshop with just two participants, you will get a demonstration and instructions, then it’s just you, the wheel, and the clay to make one or two pots. If there’s a surviving pot, we will trim and glaze it for you to pick up in a couple of weeks. Bring a friend or date and have a very relaxed evening making ceramic art!
Considerations for wheel throwing: Pottery is messy. You could bring an old hand towel and apron or old shirt. Long hair should be tied back for safety.
LONG FINGERNAIL ALERT: Just be aware that there are limitations when throwing with long nails. Pots will be gouged or ruined. There is also a slim chance that a nail could become caught underneath the wheel and that would not be fun.
