Ikebana Vase

Make this Japanese-style floral vase to celebrate the cherry blossom season! Learn how to hand build this easy Ikebana vase out of slabs of clay. Use a template to cut out the shapes of the vase. We will then build the vase. You can choose a color and we will glaze and fire them. You can pick them up in about 2 weeks. Co-hosted by River District Artisans. The class will be held at Impotters Clayworx and finished pieces will be picked up at River District Artisans, 411 Main St. Danville. All materials included, a flower pin frog is included in the price. Family Friendly! *Ikebana is a Japanese form of flower arranging.
Japanese Lantern

Make this adorable Japanese-style lantern for your porch or patio! Co-hosted by River District Artisans. The class will be held at Impotters Clayworx and finished pieces will be picked up at River District Artisans, 411 Main St. Danville. We'll make this lantern using pinch, coil, and slab techniques. First, we'll make a pinch pot base, add several coils to build it up, and then make a lid using slabs of clay. We'll make the base using slab, as well. We'll take a break, then glaze it or you can have us dip it. It will be fired in a kiln and be ready for pick up in about 2 weeks at River District Artisans. All materials provided.
Fused Glass Dish

** BEAUTIFUL GIFT IDEA FOR MOTHER’S DAY*** Aleen Wilson comes to us from Martinsville to give step by step directions in making a fused glass dish. There will be different color glass to choose from. Pieces must be taken back to her kiln to be fused & will be returned on or before May 7. All supplies provided for $55 fee.
